Blessed Chavara is one of the pioneers who founded the now-existing first Indian religious Congregation. The mission and apostolate of Preshitha Province is spread over four states in India – Tamil Nadu, Pondicherry, Kerala and Karnataka – and abroad Kenya, Germany, Canada and the United States of America. However, the Province gives much emphasis to the mission in Tamil Nadu.
