CANONICAL-VISITATION

The canonical visitation of V. Rev. Fr. Prior General to Preshitha Province was on from May 18-22. He had personal conference with members of the Provincial house. In the Province get-together held subsequently, most of the priests and brothers took part. His Paternity appreciated Fr. Provincial and his team and all the members of the Province for doing their best to implement the major thrusts proposed by XXXVI General Synaxis. He appreciated the hospitality and the various Apostolates of the Province especially the social thrust of the Province.

RENEWAL PROGRAMME

The renewal programme for the members of the Province was conducted at Provincial house from May 19-21. V. Rev. Fr. Prior General along with his Councilors and Rev. Fr. John Neelankavil guided the sessions. They enlightened the participants to be more committed to imbibe the major thrusts of the GS 36. 32 priests and ten brothers participated in this programme.

VACATION REPORT OF SCHOLASTICS

Duration of the vacation programme of our scholastics was April-May. Theologians and philosophers conducted retreats and camps in various parishes. At the end of the programme, on May 23, a meeting was held at Provincial house to evaluate the Pastoral and social activities of scholastics. On May 24, they went on a picnic to Ooty. It was refreshing experience for all. Thanks to Rev. Frs. Joy Kolengadan and Anto Nayankara for coordinating the vacation programme so well.

POSTULANTS

Eleven Aspirants completed their +2 course with flying colours. Congratulations! They begin their postulancy at Ampazhakad on June 07. They are Anson Ollukaran, Alex Cheradai, Bipin Maniyanchirayil, Franklin Edassery, Frijo Vennukaran, Jeevan Porathur, Jijo Kuzhippalayil, Linjo Arangassery, Shijo Kuttikat, Sinto Vazhapilly, Biju Vadakumchery.

RADICAL SHIFT

As part of the shifting of the minor seminary from Kaundampalayam to Pollachi, +1 Aspirants went to Pollachi. The building construction is going on. Their new Rector is Rev. Fr. Sheejo Attupuram. We wish the Rector and Aspirants God’s abundant Blessings.

FINAL PROFESSION

Rev. Br. Nilson Pallissery made his final profession on May 30 at Preshitharam, Mannuty. Rev. Fr. Provincial celebrated the Holy Eucharist and received the vows. Rev. Fr. Hadrian Ambooken gave the message. Rev. Frs. Anto Nayankara and Davis Kuttikat organised the programme. Congratulations to Rev. Br. Nilson and thanks to those who worked to make the necessary arrangements.

Twenty brothers were welcomed to the Aspirants house at Kozhinjampara ceremoniously on May 31. Thanks to Vocation promoter, Rev. Fr. Anto Nayankara and his team for their hardwork.

OBITUARY: Let us Pray

Mr. Devassy (Baby), beloved father (82) of Rev. Frs. Seby and Sabu Vellanikaran slept in the Lord on May 11. The maternal grandfather (96) of Rev. Br. Thomas Alakkalam and paternal grandfather of Rev. Br. Derin Chirayath were called for their eternal rest. Let us pray for the repose of their souls. JUBILEE GREETINGS:

CANONICAL VISIT IN GERMANY

Rev. Fr. Provincial leaves to Germany on June 15 to visit our fathers who are working abroad. He will be back on July 09. Wish him a safe and fruitful journey.

Sacred Heart Retreat Centre At Perinthalmanna

Sacred Heart Retreat Centre was solemnly inaugurated by His Excellency Mar Paul Chittilappilly, Bishop of Thamarassery Diocese. The first Charismatic Retreat was conducted from 11th May -18th May, 2009. 30 people lived in our centre and participated in the retreat.
