Preshitha celebrates 50.
Preshitha celebrates its golden Jubilee of formal entry to Tamilnadu as it Mission field according to the letter from Rome, Rescript Prote No.586/49 on May 08, 1959 which became Coimbatore Region, Vice Province and later Preshitha Province.

May 8, 1959 : Letter of promulgation from Rome as Region of Devamatha Province, Thrichur
May 31, 1959: Promulgation by Rev. Fr. Prior General
Mar 15, 1961: The first Plot of Land purchased at Saibaba Colony
Dec 30, 1964 : Rev. Fr. Clemens Thottungal was appointed as the first Regional Superior.
Aug 15, 1965 : Laying foundation stone for the first house L.F. Monastery, Saibaba Colony
Aug 15, 1966: Blessing of L.F. Mission Centre by Mar George Alappat
June 3, 1972 : Little Flower Education Society was registered
Mar 11, 1979 : Region was delared as Vice Province
May 21, 1979: Rev. Fr. Joshua was elected as the first Vice Provincial
Sept 25, 1979: Little Flower Vice Province renamed as Preshitha Vice Province
May 30, 1983: Blessing of the Present Provincial House at Maruthamalai
April 6, 2002: It was declared as Preshitha Province.
