Preshitha Province Coimbatore is one among the thirteen provinces of CMI Congregation. It has an approximate area of 32,000 sq. kms. and the members are engaged in various ministries like pastoral care of the Catholics, uplifting the tribals of the remote villages of Kerala and Tamil Nadu, providing education, social service and inter-religious amity. The province has undergone tremendous growth in the number of personnel as well as institutions. Trusting in the Divine Providence, the Preshitha Province is marching ahead with great vigour and dedication to spread Christ's Kingdom far and wide in the years to come.

Fr. Kurian Gervase Muckocheril (TVM) expired today Morning. Funeral will be 21st March 2009 (Saturday 2.00.p.m) at Mannanam.
The Prior General's Day will be solemnly celebrated at Chavara Hills on 2 May 2009. Kindly take note of this day and come to the Prior General's House for the celebration.
Fr.Thomas Manninezhath CMI, who was the rector of St.Charles Lwanga Major Seminary, the National seminary of this country, Namibia was appointed the Secretary General of the Namibian Catholic Bishopsą Conference (NCBC).
Fr.Benny Karuvelil CMI is appointed by the Congregation for the Evangelisation of Peoples as the new Rector of St.Charles Lwanga Major seminary, from the 1st of January 2009. |
